Our Story
Downtown Sound of Orlando, Inc. has been providing professional sound and backline services to Orlando, Tampa, Daytona, Jacksonville, and the entire state of Florida including the islands for the past 37 years. Its founder, Gregg Huber, owned and operated the popular Music City music store in Orlando in the 1980’s. During this time, Gregg started getting calls from Disney, Rosie O’Grady’s, Paradise Sound and other clients requesting to rent backline gear for shows and events. The focus of Music City started to shift towards band equipment backline services. By 1990, Gregg established Downtown Sound of Orlando, Inc. Since this time, Downtown Sound has provided backline services to small venues, large venues, studios, theme parks, private events, live television, corporate events, national and local touring acts and cruise ships.Our clients have come to rely on Downtown Sound of Orlando, Inc. for both our large selection of state-of-the-art and vintage equipment. Our backline equipment is regularly maintained to ensure its performance and functionality.
